Warrington Speakers Club meet at the Village Hotel, Warrington, Cheshire on the second Thursday of each month at 7.30 p.m. A typical meeting commences with a brief welcome followed by a buffet meal. There is a Chairman for the evening, honing his chairmanship skills, who invites four speakers to give their ready prepared speeches. These are then constructively evaluated. We then enjoy a topics session where members are given the opportunity to give an
'off the cuff' speech for about two to three minutes. 
There is a soapbox where a speaker my vent on an issue that is important, and emotional to him.
The purpose is to educate our members, to continuously sharpen, improve speaking skills and excel at speaking in public.
